Cardiff becomes a Fair Trade Circuit

Cardiff Circuit is very pleased to have achieved Fair Trade status. This means that over 50% of their churches have achieved Fair Trade status. In addition to that, the Circuit Mission committee is committed to promoting trade justice issues as well as fair trade throughout the circuit.
The Swansea & Gower Circuit is already a Fair Trade Circuit.
In Cwmbrân whilst not taking the official Fairtrade registered route - two of the Methodist churches have been actively promoting and selling Fairtrade goods and promoting its ideals for many years. Indeed one of the Churches has the current Chair of the Torfaen Fairtrade Forum (ToFF) as a member. Following their recent refurbishment, Llanyrafon Church now has a Fairtrade stall permanently 'open' so that any community group may make purchases.
Chepstow Church also has a permanently available Fairtrade stall.
Are you a Fair Trade Church or Circuit? The Methodist Church in Wales website is keen to hear what you are doing with regard to promoting Fair Trade issues in your neighbourhood. E-mail the webmaster.with your Fair Trade news.
